A commercial for a Texas bank has earned Advertising Systems Inc., and South Coast Film & Video, both of Houston, a 39th annual Telly Award.
Advertising Systems and South Coast were awarded recognition in the Local TV/General-Bank category at the Telly Awards’ annual ceremony last month in New York City.
The honor comes on the heels of a 30-second commercial spot in 2D animation that the Houston companies produced for the bank. Also gleaned from the commercial, posted here, was a 15-second version that was at the center of Plains State Bank’s digital display ad marketing strategy:
After the bank started the video/digital marketing campaign earlier this year, it enjoyed a 500-percent lift in business banking activity.
“We are very proud of our teamwork with South Coast Film & Video on receiving this 2018 Telly Award,” said Roger Siegle, CEO of Advertising Systems.
“The commercial visually captures the viewer’s attention and drives home the relationship banking focus within Plains State Bank’s business services. The silhouette actors in the commercial are actually executives from the bank — we love that we were able to involve our client into the production process and video … pretty cool.”
Other winners in the 39th Tellys included the likes of Marc Jacob’s “A-Z of Music,” ESPN’s “Celtics/Lakers: Best of Enemies ‘30 for 30,’” and National Geographic’s “Breaking 2.”
This year’s edition of the awards capped a year-long initiative by the Tellys to rebuild its honors for the multi-screen era and include branded content, social video and animation.
“It is exciting to see how perfectly this year’s winners capture the innovation and energy of the rapidly changing video and television industry that we rebuilt the Telly Awards to recognize,” said Tellys managing director Sabrina Dridje.
“They are an exciting culmination to an ambitious year-long effort that has re-established The Telly Awards as a trusted benchmark for the industry.”
